GRAPHICRATS STUDIO SALES AND USE TAX POLICY STATEMENT
GRAPHICRATS STUDIO RECOGNIZES that sales tax is a very important source of funding for most state and local governments. We have prepared this Sales Tax Policy to explain to you when and why we collect sales tax on your purchases.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Your purchase is NOT exempt from tax merely because GraphicRats Studio has elected not to collect the tax from you at the time of your purchase. Unless you live in Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire. or Oregon, your state most likely requires purchasers to report all purchases that are not taxed and pay tax on those purchases. The tax may be reported and paid on your individual income tax return or by filing a consumer use tax return. For more information, please visit your state's department of revenue website.
GRAPHICRATS STUDIO COLLECTS SALES TAX in states where we have physical presence. Currently this is only New York State. Due to the cost of integrating a third pary tax API, which is currently out of our budget, we have elected to offer our web sales that ship to a NY State address to be concidered tax included. It is cheaper for us to do this than to pay monthly fees to one of the third party tax apps. If the lord blesses this website, and the sales someday justify a sales tax api, then this will change.
GRAPHICRATS STUDIO DOES NOT COLLECT SALES TAX in any states NOT listed above because GraphicRats Studio is not required to collect sales or use tax in these states. Our threshold is laughable and we will likely never exceed any state threshold. Therefore, I urge you to report your sales tax when they ask.

GRAPHICRATS STUDIO DOES NOT COLLECT SALES TAX if we have your exemption certificate on file, or you are shipping your order to a state that does not collect state or local sales or use tax.
HOW ORDERS ARE FILLED
We will process all orders on a first come first serve basis. GraphicRats Studio is a very very small business. Thus said, we have limited space for keeping stock, and limited dying facilities. We can only dye about three or four dozen shirts at a time. We usually have around 4-6 pieces in stock for each item (for us to sell at our craft shows). If you order a piece and we have it in stock- it's yours. We ship it out. However if you order a group of items and we don't have some of it in stock, your order will be delayed until we can a) get the white material or dye b) dye up your batch c) finish any prior orders made before yours. Your entire order will ship at once when complete. No back orders, you will need to wait until we get things finished. This usually is not a problem, we will work as fast as we can to get your order filled. But it is always best to order 3-4 weeks ahead of the time you need your order.
