5.5 ounce 100% cotton jersey-knit tee. Ribbed crew neck. Double-needle hemmed bottom and sleeves. Prewashed and dried: preshrunk.
This is a very cute, handmade tie dye heart tee shirt. Your toddler will love this short sleeve very much. Dyed with permanent fiber reactive dye process, you know this color will not fade away.
How to tie dye: fold the shirt in half vertically. Mark off the heart area with a stencil, using a non staining device. Fold little pleats around the heart shape and tie off with a rubber band or string. Bunch up or "krinkle" the remaining fabric tightly and capture all loose edges with more rubber bands or string. Lay the toddler shirt down on a table suface. Use katchup bottles or similar apparatus to apply the fiber reactive dye to the tee shirt. Start with red for the heart area then add a small purple band of dye next to that, followed by huge amounts of pink dye all over the bulk of the cotton material. Lastly splash a generous amount of purple dye over the pink area. Flip, repeat for side two. Set aside the t-shirt to cure for 24 hours, and then rinse thorughly.
